We participated in the WINDPOWER 2011 Conference & Exhibition hosted by AWEA
[2011-06-01 10:38:37]

The WINDPOWER 2011 Conference & Exhibition hosted by the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) was the world's largest annual wind power trade show and wind energy development forum. Founded in 1995, and since its first annual event in San Francisco, AWEA has successfully established a wind energy development platform that showcases the strength of the wind power and provides numerous educational sessions. The WINDPOWER 2011 was the 36th annual gathering of wind power professionals covering worldwide leading manufacturers, system developers, business investors as well as media sponsors and government departments; it offered plenty of opportunities for the attendants to network or exchange information, do business, and learn different expertise from each other through fabulous educational sessions and inspiring exhibition.

The Obama Administration has recently passed a number of green energy policies, enacting a minimum of 25% of total electricity generation through renewable energy by 2020, and by the end of next year, reaching a trailblazing 10% target. To facilitate renewable energy transmission and further enhance the contribution to the nation's energy mix, an establishment of a new nationwide high voltage power transmission network is being kicked off. In particular, the legislation has encouraged the utilization of renewable energy and reinforced the positive impact of deploying wind energy to both economy and environment. American wind power is now a mainstream energy source providing 35% of new generation since 2007. Stimulated by the policy support, the WINDPOWER 2011 was again a huge success with approximately 1,200 exhibitors and over 20,000 visitors attended; both figures reached new event records.

Our company booth was located in Hall D, Booth #1559. We attended the exhibition and brought our cutting-edge technology product - the "Double Flying Birds" series wind turbine with him. As was expected, our Double Flying Bird attracted a large number of audiences because of its unique features and unbeatable performances in the small wind turbine market. Many American and Canadian clients were anxious to know the details of the "Double Flying Birds". The most frequently asked question was: "Why it was assembled with another pack of 7 small blades?" And the subsequent questions were related to its cut-in wind speed, rated output power, and price list of the series. Of course, the last but not the least, the audience wished our product could be sold in the US. Some clients even desired to buy the exhibit unit at the spot for whatever the price, and hoped to install the turbine in the yard to save money for the ever-increasing electricity bill. We were pleased to know that quite a few visitors were very much willing to use their estate properties as our wind turbine model house, and cherished the hope of being distributors some day. Interestingly enough, some enthusiastic clients brought other audiences to our booth, helped introduce our products to others without our authorization! Our product brochures and USB-card giveaways were all taken away before the exhibition closed.
